Over the past few months, we have been working on organizing and labeling our Beit Medrash collection. The library is divided into eleven categories (each with its own color) and the divided again into sub-categories (each with its own letter).
PLEASE remember to sign books out in the circulation log (white 1 inch binder at the entrance to the shul) and to sign books back when you return them. Here are a few guidelines for borrowing books:
- Fill out the log sheet (taking care to write legibly and include contact information as well).
- On Shabbat/Yom Tov, you may borrow books but PLEASE remember to return them before the end of the day or sign them out on Motzei Shabbat/Yom Tov. You can also fill out the online sign out sheet.
- NOTE: Some books have a beige label on their spine that says “LIBRARY USE ONLY”, such as the Schottenstein English Talmud Set. These books may NOT be removed from the library with special permission from the library committee.
- When you return a book, please fill out the “returned date” on the circulation sheet and return the book to its proper location in the library (following color and letter).
